Changing lives in the philippines

Because God is miraculously
changing lives in the Philippines…
as you resource the under-resourced Church!

Do you believe in miracles?

When Rosita was diagnosed with a brain tumour and ovarian cancer, she was at the point of despair. She sent her son to buy a lottery ticket. But, instead, he returned with a tract he’d been given by a travelling preacher.

Rosita’s family read that tract together and marvelled at the promises of God. Later, Rosita took her family to a huge gathering of God’s people, where she gave her life to Christ – and so did her family. She says:

“That night, at exactly eight in the evening, I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour; I was crying with joy because I could feel as if Jesus was there with us, and I could feel that He healed me. My mind had never been this clear in knowing the truth about God.”

Imagine if Rosita had never been given that precious biblical resource and read for herself how much God loved her! It’s through His Word that He plants hope into hearts like hers.

This change of heart – and life! – is only possible by the Spirit of God. .

Rosita has been working for decades as a Church Planter – sharing her story and inviting others into relationship with their Heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, His Son.

This is the undeniable power of God to transform lives through His Word. Can you think of a better word for it than miracle? Rosita says:

“It was 1979 when I was diagnosed with a brain tumour and ovarian cancer, yet I’m still alive. At my age, I’m still planting churches in a Muslim region. Isn’t that enough to prove that God can do miracles?”

What an encouragement in these testing and troubled times: You and I have faith in a God who is actively, miraculously changing lives. And if that’s not enough, here’s another example for you...

A charismatic man, Diokno was known in his community in the Philippines as a drinker and a trainer of cock-fighting birds. But through tragedy – and thanks to friends like you – he is now a man of God. He says:

“The painful part of my story is that I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ during a funeral service in my house. My child passed away in March 2017 and a group of tribal pastors came to speak during the funeral.

“When I heard the verse from John 3:16, Jesus said that He loves me. That day I accepted Him as my Lord and Saviour. Since then, I felt joy that I never felt before. I felt peace in my heart.”

And as God’s Word is planted deep in their hearts, their overwhelming desire will be to share Him with others!

So please be a source of hope by giving today so God’s Word can be planted in more hearts to achieve His purpose in the Philippines. As the Bible says:

“In the same way, my words leave my mouth, and they don’t come back without results. My words make the things happen that I want to happen. They succeed in doing what I send them to do.” Isaiah 55:11 ERV
